Benefits at GMC

Full-time employees of GMC are offered health insurance through the Department of Community Health, State Health Benefits Plan and Flexible Benefits through the State Personnel Administration managed by Georgia Breeze. All full-time employees are eligible for active coverage after being employed 30 days, however, the benefits must start on the first of the month. (i.e. hire date of April 1, benefits start May 1, but hire date of April 15, benefits start June 1.) New hires have 31 days from their start date to make any and all benefit selections. After that time has passed, new hires will not be able to make any benefit selections until open enrollment in October and they will not take effect until January of the following year.

Georgia Military College offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for full-time employees that includes health and flexible benefits, a defined benefit retirement option, a supplemental 403(b) retirement program (available for part-time employees as well) and gracious time accrual that coordinates with regularly scheduled holidays and seasonal school closures.
